Laura Morgan, who has been an employee at West Tennessee Healthcare for over seven years, has been named the West Tennessee Healthcare employee of the month for April.

Laura works the day shift as an EMS dispatcher, and she was presented with the award when the West Tennessee Healthcare Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Tina Prescott, EVP/COO, Joyce Noles, executive director, EMS Administration, and Kevin Deaton, Director, EMS, made the presentation.

Her coworkers say she is the epitome of a team-oriented coworker.

  • She is always willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done the correct way.
  • She is always willing to come in early or stay late, assisting the center when volume is high, so as not to leave them over-taxed.
  • She is always even-keeled regardless of the situation.
  • She exhibits compassion towards callers and coworkers alike.
  • She always exhibits the characteristics of a professional, considerate, caring individual and efficient coworker.
