India has been holding regular press briefings on Operation Sindoor, and in today’s update, it tagged several claims made by Pakistan as “FALSE”. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri firmly stated that no Indian missiles have struck Afghanistan.

“There is this completely ludicrous claim that Indian missiles have hit Afghanistan. Totally frivolous allegation. And I only want to point out that Afghan people don’t need to be reminded about which country it is that has, on multiple occasions, in just the last 1.5 years, targeted the civilian population and civilian infrastructure in Afghanistan,” said Misri.

Misri strongly refuted Pakistan’s allegations of destroying airbases, stating that the claims were steeped in “lies, misinformation, and propaganda”. He added, “The claims that they have made about attacking and destroying various places, military installations and facilities… are completely FALSE.”

He also dismissed claims about the destruction of airbases in Sirsa and Suratgarh, as well as reports that the S-400 air defence system stationed in Adampur had been damaged.

Misri further clarified that no cyberattack was carried out by Pakistan on India, and there was no failure of power grids as claimed.

“I would urge all of you and all those who watch this not to be misled by this tissue of lies that has been peddled by Pakistan for obvious purposes,” he stressed.

He informed that Pakistan has been continuously targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure, especially in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, before adding that Pakistan is trying to “sow discord between communities in India”.

It is to be noted that the spokesperson of the Pakistani Army, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, is the son of Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood. Mahmood is a UN-designated global terrorist. His father, who reportedly lives in anonymity in Islamabad, has known links to Al-Qaeda and is believed to have provided Osama bin Laden with information related to chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons.
