EAST MOLINE, Ill. (WICS) — The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 East Moline Major Crimes is investigating a homicide in Henry County following a missing persons report.

The Kewanee Police Department initially requested assistance from ISP special agents on May 27, 2025, after Catrell Reed was reported missing.

Reed was discovered deceased on May 30, 2025, on a property near the intersection of Highway 81 and East 2350th Street, just west of Kewanee.

An autopsy conducted on June 2, 2025, confirmed that Reed's death was a result of homicide.
