Tennessee baseball vs Arkansas highlights: Vols held to 2 hits in NCAA super regional Game 1 loss

Tennessee baseball struggled to find traction offensively in the first game of the Fayetteville Super Regional.

No. 3 Arkansas beat No. 14 Tennessee 4-3 on June 7 at Baum-Walker Stadium. It was Game 1 of the super regional. Tennessee must win two elimination games to make the College World Series.

Arkansas held Tennessee to a season-low two hits. Both were home runs. Dean Curley hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning and Andrew Fischer hit a solo homer in the ninth.

The Vols faced just two pitchers. Arkansas starting pitcher Zach Root threw seven one-hit innings. Reliever Gabe Gaeckle pitched the final two innings, allowing the other hit.
